Harriet M. Scarborough , 90 years old of Union Mills, IN. died Friday, April 10, 2009 in Golden Living Center Fountainview.

She was born June 25, 1918 in Blackstone, Illinois, Daughter of the late Fred and Mary Ames (Conaty).

She was married on March 14, 1936 in Knox, IN to John Scarborough who preceded her in death in 1986.

She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Union Mills, IN. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are 5 sons; John (Mary Marjorie) of Union Mills, Dave (Loretta) of Union Mills, Howard (Barbara) of Westville, Roy (Lillian) of Westville, Richard (Dori) Scarborough of Union Mills, ,8 daughters; Phyllis Reeves of Union Mills, Mary (Mike) Bornell of LaPorte, Harriet (Richard) Lute of Hanna, Donna (Dave) Doepping of Union Mills, Sally Scarborough of Chesterton, Jennie (Michael) Niksch of Westville, Debbie Scarborough of Union Mills, Edie (Gene) Foreman of Valparaiso, 49 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren, sister; Cleo Awald of Walkerton, daughter-in-law; Linda Scarborough of LaCrosse, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Scarborough, son; Raymond, 7 grandchildren, 4 sisters, 4 brothers, and son-in-law; Lee Reeves.

Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. John Beehler officiating.

Interment will follow in the Union Mills Cemetery.
