Harry L. Medlock

Harry L. Medlock, 92, of Belleview, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Estelle's Hospice House.

Harry was born on January 5, 1929 to parents, James and Tola Medlock of Watseka, Illinois. The family later moved to La Porte, Indiana where he spent the remainder of his childhood.

Harry graduated in 1949 and went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Engineering. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1951, serving stateside during the Korean War until 1953.

On October 21, 1950 at the Presbyterian Church in La Porte, Indiana, he married Beverly Glancy, who preceded him in death on July 1, 2006.

Harry worked for Chrysler Marine Outboard Motors in Hartford, Wisconsin. In 1979, he moved the family to Lima, Ohio to work and retire from General Dynamics Tank Plant in 1993. In 1996, he and Beverly moved to Belleview, Florida.

Surviving Harry are his sons, Kevin Medlock of Lima, Ohio and Michael (Linda) Medlock of Fairfield, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Kassie Cassel of Dallas, Georgia, Stephen  Medlock of Lima, Ohio, Chris Medlock of Fairfield, Ohio, and Samantha (Matt) Freeborn of Fairfield, Ohio; 3 great-grandchildren; Nate, Josh and Rylan; nephew, James Medlock of Cibolo, Texas; niece, Sandra Honhorst of Cibolo, Texas;  as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; son, David W. Medlock; parents; and brothers, Harold L. Medlock and James P. Medlock.

A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 10 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.  Arrangements are being handled by Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the service is required to wear a mask.
