Helen Blackburn, 93, LaPorte, died at 9:15 a.m. EST Monday (Feb. 2, 2004) at Southfield Village, South Bend.
A private family service is planned at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with the Rev. Louis Schumm officiating. Burial is in Pine Lake Cemetery. There is no visitation.
She was born Feb. 23, 1910, in Murrayville, Ill., to Clyde K. and Alma (Reaugh) Million. On Oct. 15, 1932, in Delavan, Ill., she married Alvah D. Blackburn, who died May 22, 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas (Cindy) Blackburn, South Bend, and Daniel Blackburn, Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Reaugh and George Million.
Mrs. Blackburn was a homemaker. She was a member of LaPorte Presbyterian Church and Tri Kappa. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
