Helen Mae Jackson, 96, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of LaPorte, died at 2:35 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 28, 2004) at Fountainview Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mishawaka.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cutler Funeral Home in LaPorte, with the Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Burial is in Patton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackson was born Oct. 11, 1907, in Revana, Ohio, to Charles E. and Georgiana (Chapman) Miller. On March 28, 1937, in Knox, she married Glenn O. Jackson, who died Aug. 29, 2003.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn R. Jackson, Mishawaka; granddaughters Shereen Allison-Clayton, North Carolina, and Kathy Giloth, South Bend; two great-grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 2439, where served as president of the Auxiliary, Eagles Past State Grandmother, and she formed the Zone 1 Eagles Auxiliary.
She also traveled with her husband on Eagles business throughout Indiana.
