Biography Helen Ott, 85, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 6:05 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2005 at her home.
A private family service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery with Rev. Doug Hadley officiating. There will be no visitation.
Helen was born June 15, 1920, in LaPorte to Andrew & Thyra Dagmar (Christensen) Kuhre. On May 26, 1940 at the LaPorte First United Methodist Church, she married Harold Ott, who preceded her in death August 8, 1993.
Survivors include daughter Deanna (Thomas) Vilender of Inver Grove Heights, MN; sons Daniel Ott of LaPorte and SM Sgt. Kevin (Mak Nyo) Ott of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren Dawn Hagert and Daniel, Jason & Michael Ott; great-granddaughter Alyssa Ott; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, a sister, Edythe Kneisley and a nephew preceded her in death.
Helen had worked at Austenal/Howmet and the LaPorte County CETA.
She was a member of the LaPorte First United Methodist Church and she was a LaPorte High School graduate.
