Henry Engel, 92, of New Buffalo, Michigan and formerly of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Donna's Elderly Care, New Buffalo.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Leach officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
Henry was born September 16, 1913, in Racine, Wisconsin to Frank & Amelia Engel. On February 14, 1942, he married Irene Blanche Engel, who preceded him in death October 23, 1999.
He is survived by son Kenneth (Cheryl) Engel of Ogden Dunes, IN and grandchildren Amy & Matthew Engel.
Henry had been a librarian at LaPorte Public and County Libraries. He was a member of the American Library Association.
