Henry Matve, 94, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 in LaPorte Hosital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Kanty Catholic Church on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 1-5 P.M. at Cutler Funeral Home.
Henry was born November 20, 1914 in LaPorte, IN to William & Mary (Schmarr) Matve. He was married on June 20, 1959 in New Carlisle, IN. to Jean Livelsberger who survives.
Also surviving is 3 Godchildren: Greg Hofer, Bill Matve, & Barb Bueler; several nieces and nephews and a niece and special caregiver: Mary Alice Lawson.
He was preceded in death by his 6 sisters; Matilda Abrahamson, Mary Deutscher, Barbara Hofer, Katherine Evans, Rose Gembala & Helen Masek and 2 brothers: William H. & Steve Matve.
He was a retired machinist from Bendix Corporation.
He attended St. John Kanty Catholic Church, was a US Army Veteran of WWII, former member of American Legion Post #83 & Knights of Columbus.
