Hilda W. Danitschek, age 93, of La Porte, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Fountainview in La Porte. She was born on June 7, 1919 the daughter of the late Adolph & Minne (Dau) Burmeister in Clyde, North Dakota. On November 11, 1939 she married Martin J. Danitschek, he preceded her in death on February 2, 1998.
She is survived by her children, Renata "Renny" (Dick) Rutz and Denny (Patti) Danitschek both of La Porte; grandchildren, Richard M. Rutz, Mark W. Rutz, Roger D. Danitschek, Terri L. Mellen, Kami R. Danitschek, Nanda L. Danitschek; fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, Selma Clingenpeel, and a brother, Martin Burmeister.
She was Co-Founder & owner of Danitschek Printing with her husband until selling the business in 1975. Hilda had also worked as a UPS shipper. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a member of Ladies Aid, Circle 7, Altar Guild, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and Tuesday Morning Bible Study. She was also a member of the Thursday Bible study group at Oak Woods Manor.
A celebration of life service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Monday October 1, 2012 at 11AM with Rev. Ronald Brauer officiating. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery in La Porte.
A visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday September 30, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and from 10-11AM prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church.
