Hubert E. "Ed" Dean, Sr., 74 years old of Rolling Prairie, IN, died in Paris, TN. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
He was born August 19, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN., Son of the late Hubert C. and Alma Irene (Hunter) Dean.
On March 8, 1967 in Chicago, IL., he married Barbara Pietrowski.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Dean of LaPorte; son: Hubert E. (Debbie) Dean, Jr. of Mishawaka, IN.; sisters: Betty Peppers of Paris, TN., and Helen McElroy of Bremen, IN.; brothers: Robert "Bob" (Peggy) Dean of Springville, TN., and Charles "Fuzz" (Pat) Dean of South Bend, IN.; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Suzie Brutz, sister; Alice Peppers and brother; Nicholas Dean .
He worked at Redi Froz and Simon Brothers, both of South Bend. He retired from Schwarz Paper in LaPorte, IN. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, Democratic Civic Club and St. John Kanty. He enjoyed Blue Grass Music, dedicated family man, loved vacationing in Tennessee, he was a Chicago Bears and racing fan, President of the Liars Table at Junction City Truck Stop.
There will be a time of visitation from 3 to 7 PM., C.S.T. on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 A.M., C.S.T., Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at St. Johns Kanty Catholic Church in Rolling Prairie, IN., with Father Michael Heimer officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. John Kanty Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, IN.
