Irene A. Rosenbaum, 94, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Porter Regional Hospital.
Irene was born in La Porte, IN, on October 28, 1922 to Fredrick "Ted" and Ethel (Dare) Cable.
Irene was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she was involved in many church activities. She loved to cook many things including pies and cookies for her family and friends. She also enjoyed the family card games during the Holidays.
On June 1, 1943 in Hammond, IN, she married Jack L. Rosenbaum who preceded her in death in 2010. Also surviving are her beloved son, Ron (Sheryl) Rosenbaum of La Porte; daughter-in-law, Christine G. Rosenbaum of La Porte; five grandchildren, Kyle, Katelin, and Kassidy Rosenbaum, Bryan (McKenzie) and Steven Clark; special niece and nephew; Linda and Jimmie Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Jack F. Rosenbaum who passed away in 2004.
A private family Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will take place at Salem Cemetery.
