Ivah May (Newland) Plank

Ivah May Plank, 74, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her home.

Ivah was born in Logansport, IN, on April 29, 1943 to Howard and Mary Bell (Gruenoch) Newland.

Surviving are her beloved children, Tracy (Tom) Cioch, Tammie Preston, and Dan (Lori) Plank; brother, Mike (Diane) Phillips; sister, Rose (Joe) Banghart all of La Porte; grandchildren, Angela (Clint) Martin, Jason (Kimmie) Cioch, Brandon (Pam) Thalmann, Melissa Martinez, Brian Cioch, Dustin (Kim) Thalmann, Ryan Preston, Kayla (Billy) Preston, Sarah (Ryan) Darrell, Brian (Jennifer) Rupp, Danielle Plank, Andy Plank, and Ethan Plank; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Martinez; mother, Mary Bell Newland; sister, Anna James; and son-in-law, Bob Preston.

Ivah enjoyed swimming, gardening, walking her dog, kayaking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 12 PM - 2 PM on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at La Porte First Church Of God.
