Jack F. Rosenbaum, 56, of LaPorte, died at 11:04 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Cutler Funeral Home. A Lion's Memorial service will be held at 9:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Jack was born September 15, 1947 in LaPorte to Jack L. & Irene A. (Cable) Rosenbaum. On September 9, 1995, in LaPorte, he married Christine G. Gansemer, who survives.

Also surviving are 2 sons, Brian & Steven Clark, LaPorte; his parents, Jack & Irene Rosenbaum, LaPorte; a brother, Ron (Sheryl) Rosenbaum, LaPorte; and special nieces and nephew, Kyle, Katelin and Cassidy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a cousin, Randy Rosenbaum.

Jack was an owner/agent for General Insurance Services since 1971, having started when the business was Hargrave, Hargrave & Boston.

He was a 1966 graduate of LaPorte High School and a 1970 graduate of Manchester College. He served 6 years in the US Air Force Reserve. He was a former JayCee member, where he served in a very active role, a past Chairman of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, president elect of the LaPorte Lions Club and served on the LaPorte Economic Development Board. He was an avid sports fan, coaching Little League for General Insurance Service, and basketball and soccer for St. Joseph Catholic School.

He loved his family and family celebrations. He was very close to his Grandpa Cable and because of him, grew to love the outdoors and nature. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he gave freely of his time and talents to all who knew him.
