Jack Lane Gilley, Sr., age 70, of Michigan City, passed away on July 21, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Booneville, Mississippi, on May 26, 1944 to Willie C. and Verdie Lou (Johnson) Gilley.
Surviving are his beloved children, Angie (Craig) Dryden of La Porte, Willie Gilley of Michigan City, Jackie Gilley, Jr. of Michigan City, Lou Ann (Aaron Polan) Gilley of La Porte; granddaughters, Zoey and Emma Dryden of La Porte.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, A.C., Billy, Bobby Gilley; sisters, Maxine Tennison, Christine Miles, and Betty Poff.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM on Friday, July 25, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Activity Center. A time of gathering with the family will follow the Memorial Service until 4 PM at the church on Friday.
