James Bowen, 67, of Fish Lake, Indiana, died at 12:38 a.m. EST at the home of his daughter, Deborah, in Fairland, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST on Saturday, April 2, at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Carmen Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place at a later time.
James was born January 10, 1938, in Rochester, Indiana to Walter & Mary (Wylie) Bowen. On June 4, 1966, he married Imogene "Jean" Rodgers, who preceded him in death October 12, 2003.
Survivors include daughters Deborah Kelly of Fairland, IN and Holly Bowen of Michigan City, IN; son, Tim Bowen, also of Michigan City; 8 grandchildren; and sisters Joyce Wenino of Plymouth, IN, Jackie Allen of Florida and Sheri Brown of Brownsburg, Indiana.
His parents preceded him in death.
