James Lee Diedrich, 72 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 21, 1939 in North Liberty, Indiana, Son of the late Henery Herman Carl & Geneva Rose (Weldon) Diedrich.
He worked and retired from House of Fara in LaPorte, he loved to fix lawnmovers and everyone in the neighborhood knew him for his skills, he used to race cars at US #30 Dragstrip.
He married Evelyn Marie Odle on Sept. 28, 1957 in La Porte who survives; also surviving are two daughters; Tammy Marie Masek Diedrich of La Porte, Teresa Arlene Diedrich of North Judson, one son; Jamie Lee(Roxy) Diedrich of La Porte 4 Grandchildren; Stefanie Lynn (Jakob) Blockland, Nicole Renee Fritz, Leslie Ann Diedrich, & Donavon James Diedrich all of La Porte, one bro; Gary "Duke" Diedrich of Ft. Wayne, IN. Several Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends will be received at Cutler Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until Noon, Tues.Aug. 16, 2011 with a Service at Noon. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek. Indiana
