July 30, 1948 - December 6, 2013
James J. Eiler, 65, left his home on Earth on Friday, December 6, 2013 and entered eternity in heaven after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jim was born July 30, 1948. He grew up in La Porte, graduating from La Porte High School, where he played baseball and football. Jim was an associate pastor at the Vineyard Church of La Porte/The River and pastored the Vineyard Church of Plymouth/River of Life Christian Fellowship. Jim returned to La Porte where he continued his ministry. Jim loved the Lord and his word. He loved to teach and he mentored many. His legacy will live on through them. Jim was an evangelist and shared the love of Jesus with everyone he met. He lived his life as an example to others of what he believed. Jim always smiled and loved everyone. He will be missed but not forgotten.
