James Fanselow

James Robert "Jim" Fanselow, 73, of La Porte , passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.

Jim was born in La Porte, IN, on January 9, 1943 to Robert Fredrick and Marie Margaret (Weidner) Fanselow.

On May 25, 1963 in La Porte, he married Loretta Gray who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Bob (Tami) Fanselow of Long Beach, CA, Chris (Tina Miller) Fanselow of La Porte, Jamie (Mandy) Fanselow of Terrell, TX; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Graham, Cole, Madison, and Cameron Fanselow; Great Granddaughter, Arwin Fanselow; sisters, Sue (Jack) Drubert of Westville, IN, Kathy (Steve) Brinson of Muncie, IN, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim worked for 37 years for Spoors Auto Sales. He was a member of the Lions Club and the Old Timers Club. He was a fan of NASCAR, and all sports especially Babe Ruth Baseball, which he was former president and known as the "Big Fan" during local sporting events.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM (CST) on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A Lions Club Memorial Will be held Sunday at 6 PM at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 2-6 PM (CST) on Sunday, March 13, 2016 and from 10AM until the time of service on Monday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Interment will take place at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Maple City Lions Club, 1103 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN 46350.
