James "Jim" Lewis passed away peacefully at his home on July 15th, 2016.
Jim was born on April 26, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to James L. Lewis and Anna (Bell) Lewis.
Jim was an Union Carpenter by trade and he retired in 2004. After retirement, Jim opened a successful used car lot until becoming sick. Jim also loved to hunt and fish.
In June of 1992, in Wheeler, Indiana he married Barbara R. (Vinson) Lewis who survives. Also surviving are his son, James Ray Lewis; daughter, Lisa (Chad) Johnson; and sons, Scott (Sheri) Lewis and Michael Lewis. Jim also had three stepchildren: Rick Bradley, Kim Rogers and Kenny (Erica) Bradley; 8 grandchildren: Kristy, Ashley, Shane, Austin, Alta May, Taylor, Abbey and Easton; 3 step grandchildren: Avery, Aiden and Ari; and 4 great-grandchildren. Jim has a brother, Danny (Tammy) Lewis.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James L. Lewis and Anna Bell; four brothers, Jerry Raymond, Ed, John Paul, and Jerry Lee; and also his step grandchild, Barbie Lauderback.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 and from 9 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place following the service at Salem Cemetery.
