James E. "Jim" Wagman, 56 years old of La Porte, IN, died Friday, October 16, 2009 in LaPorte Hospital .
He was born December 8, 1952 in Hammond, IN, son of the late Clarence & Mary (Jaeger) Wagman
He worked for Inland Steel for 20 years, I/N Tek for 16 years, and was a contractor for MITTAL Steel from 2004-2009
He was married on October 16, 1979 in Crown Point, IN. to Linda Criswell who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa (James) Jongkind of LaPorte, Carly (Wagman) French of LaPorte, four sons, James (Jennifer) E. Wagman II, Jereme, Jonathan and Joshua Wagman all of Highland , IN., 7 Grandchildren; Adam, Jasmine, Ian, Renee, Chloe, Elliot & Alexandria, 2 Sisters; Sue Grubb of Phoenix, AZ., & Kay Wagman of Highland, IN., Mother-in-law; Florine Criswell of Munster, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Stephan and Lucas Wagman.
Graduate of Highland High School in 1970, received a BA Degree from Purdue-Calumet in 1976, attended IUSB, member of State Street Community Church in La Porte
Friends will be received at the Cutler Funeral Home from 4-8:00 PM Tuesday Oct. 20, 2009 and 10-11:00 AM Wednesday.
Services will be held at Cutler Funeral Home, 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 with Pastor Nate Loucks officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Lake Cemetery
