Jamie Ahlie Collette, age 46, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Jamie was born in Laporte, IN, on August 17, 1968 to Thomas J. and Linda M. (Abiney) Messman.
On April 30, 1994 he married Gayle Collette who survives. Also surviving is his beloved daughter, Alyssa Collette of La Porte; mother, Linda Messman, sister, Renee Messman of La Porte; grandmother, Lucy Emery of La Porte; mother-in-law, Pauline (Bob) Spencer of La Porte; nieces, Morgan and Madison; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy; grandfather, Ahlie Abiney.
Jamie loved Jeff Gordon, Chicago Cubs, and football. He also enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, and online gambling games.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, December 12, 2014 and also from 9:30 AM on Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Michigan City.
