Janet Bom, 72, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 8:24 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2006, at the LaPorte Presbyterian Church with Rev. Louis Schumm officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
Janet was born August 4, 1933, in Jedburgh, Scotland to James & Barbara (Chalmers) Craig. On June 12, 1954, in Steubenville, Ohio, she married Donald Bom, who survives.
Survivors also include daughter Kathleen (Alan) Lang of LaPorte; grandchildren Andrew and Kristen of LaPorte; and brother Ian (Patricia) Craig of Gaithersburg, MD.
Her parents and her aunt and uncle, Margaret and George Craig, who raised her after she came to the United States, preceded her in death.
Janet was a homemaker. She was a 1950 graduate of Steubenville High School. She was a member of Heritage Methodist Church in Clearwater Florida and the Jazzercise Coffee Group of Countryside.
