J. B. Warfield, 80 years old of La Porte, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 in La Porte Hospital.
He was born Jan. 25, 1930 in Hazzard, Kentucky to the late Cager T. & Grace (Shelton) Warfield.
He served in the US Army Army during the Korean War, Life member of the VFW Post #1130 where he was Past Commander and Past District Commander, American Legion Post #83, and was on the La Porte Veteran's Honor Guard for many years and Polish Falcons.
He worked for the Budd Co. in Gary as a metal finisher until his retirement.
He was married on Oct. 2, 1970 in Evansville, IN. to Pauline Cabage who preceded him in death Nov. 11, 2004.
Surviving are Bro; Ted L.(Patricia)Warfield of La Porte, Bro; Edward(Dolores)Warfield of Cottonwood, AL. Sis; Louise(Charles)Yozman of La Porte, Significant other; Sharon Kraus of Kingsbury, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
There will be a Private Family Funeral Service held at a later time with burial in Pine Lake Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Cutler Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
