Jeffrey "Jeff" Knoll Ransom, 49, of Brownsburg, tragically passed away from a house fire on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Jeff's beloved dog, Penny, also perished in the fire.
Jeff was born on March 10, 1974 in La Porte, IN, to Richard Keith and Nancy Jean (Knoll) Ransom.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence "Knoll" Ransom of Brownsburg; parents, Richard and Nancy Ransom, of Kent, OH; sisters, Jennifer (Jeffry) Branthoover of Hudson, OH and Julie (Josh) Chaney of Tallmadge, OH; brother, John (Candice) Ransom of Kent, OH; as well as 10 nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Christina Ransom; maternal grandparents, Harold and Betty Knoll; and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Lois Ransom.
Jeff worked at NAPA (Genuine Parts Corporation) as an automotive parts salesman for over 20 years.
Jeff's son, Knoll, was his pride and joy. Jeff loved and was loved by his family and friends. He enjoyed music, movies, cars, and cooking.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Monday, May 1, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Nate Edquist officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. (CST) on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the funeral home. Procession from the funeral home to St. Peter's Catholic Church will take place from 10:45 - 11:00 a.m. Monday.
