Jerry A. Lough

Jerry A. Lough, 80, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Franciscan Health Michigan City .

Jerry was born on March 16, 1939 in Gary, IN, to Henry C. and Ruth (Weaver) Lough.

On February 4, 1961 in E. U. B. Church, Gary, IN, he married Carole A. Miller who survives.  Also surviving are his beloved children, James Lough of Arlington, IL and Jodi Lough-Heckman of La Porte; 2 granddaughters, Tiffany and Tarra Heckman, both of La Porte; sister, Dorothy Shipley of Hobart; family pets, Maya, Pennie, Moose, and Oscar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded by his parents.

Jerry was a copier repair tech at 3m Corp. He retired in 2001 .  His favorite past times included community basketball, baseball, and reading.  He was known as a "history buff".  Jerry also enjoyed a leisurely ride on his Honda Trike motorcycle.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 14, 2019,  at The Presbyterian Church of La Porte with Pastor Sally Wicks officiating.  Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 8 pm on Thursday, June 13 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10 am until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
