John Robert Munn, 87, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 2:50 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, at the Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Hoskins officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the New Castle South Mound Cemetery in New Castle, Indiana.
John was born September 21, 1917 in Dallas, Texas to William S. and Ella Lou (Swigert) Munn. On August 25, 1962, he married Patricia Prosser, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters Pam (Bob) Anderson of Rolling Prairie, IN, Vicki (Billy) Bettis of Huston, TX, Suellen Munn of Los Angeles, CA and Amy (William) Davis of Indianapolis, IN; son, Verne (Alice) Stewart Munn of Pullman, WA; sisters Anne Norman of Louisville, KY and Helen Chickering of McLean, VA; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Munn.
John was vice-president of the Far East Division of International Telephone & Telegraph, homebased in Hong Kong from 1964-1974. Prior to working at ITT, he had a 25 year career in production management with Arvin Industries based in Columbus, Indiana.
He attended the Valparaiso Nazarene Church.
