John Benjamin Stachowski, 80, of Walkerton, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home.
John was born in Michigan City, IN, on August 1, 1937 to Anthony Frank and Maxine (Stoll) Stachowski.
On March 27, 2010 in Elkhart, IN, he married Christena Burnett who survives in Fish Lake, IN. Also surviving are his beloved son, Duane Stachowski of La Porte and 2 beloved grandsons, Kye and Trevor Stachowski.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruth; brother, Norman Stachowski; and sister, Rose Catherine Stachowski.
John served honorably in the US Army. He worked as a volunteer Firefighter. He was a member of the Fish Lake Lions Club and enjoyed woodworking, making dollhouses, and fishing.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 PM (CST) on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Chaplain Annette Freese officiating. Interment will take place at Salem Cemetery following the service.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM (CST) until the time of the service on Friday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
