John William Weiss, 47 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at his home in LaPorte.
He was born October 16, 1964 in Mitchell, South Dakota, son of the late Donald E. and Marilyn (Wilson) Weiss.
John was a 1983 graduate of LaPorte High School. He went on to earn a degree from Lincoln Technical Institute as a certified mechanic. He worked for 4 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury dealerships before taking on full time care giving for his mother. He was a member of First Baptist Church and he enjoyed many hobbies including motorcycle riding , coin collecting, puzzle making and NASCAR/ Indy Racing. He was also a Chicago Bears fan.
Surviving are his siblings: James E. Weiss of LaPorte; and Dr. Janet S. Weiss of Rolling Prairie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held graveside at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Kingsbury Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Service in LaPorte.
