Johnny Ray Lanham, 54, of Kingsford Heights, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
Johnny was born in East Chicago, IN, on September 8, 1963 to Robert and Anna (Strong) Lanham.
On November 29, 2006, he married Bonnie Williamson who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Johnny Joe Lanham, Crystal Lanham, and Stephanie Molina; 4 stepchildren, Kristopher O'Rourke, Barbara (Marcus) Ritter, Meagan and Sarah O'Rourke; 4 grandchildren, Ethan Birkmeyer, Tyler Craft, Kayleigh and Kyleigh Parker; brother, Roger (Debra) Lanham; sister, Barbara (Gary) Wilson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Johnny was a roofer for many years at Century Roofing in Merrillville. He played drums and guitar in the bands "Ruff House" and "Southern Justice".
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 pm (CST) on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Lamb's Chapel, 6006 N. Fail Rd., La Porte, with Pastor's Jay Loucks and Lynn Breeden officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 12 Noon (CST) until the time of the service at the church. Cremation will take place following the service. Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte, is handling the arrangements.
