Joseph Galloway, 69, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, at Cutler Funeral Home with Carl Galloway officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted.
Joe was born June 17, 1936 in LaPorte County to Jesse and Ada (Stanage) Galloway. On July 16, 1960, in LaPorte, he married Georgia Butler, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters Penny (Eric) Wolfenbarger and Stacy (Tony) Lindquist, both of LaPorte; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Carl, Claude, Ed, Dick, Jack, Gene and Chuck Galloway; and sisters Mary Ingole and Nancy Bush.
His parents, daughter Cindy Johnson, great-granddaughter Emily Jo Stratton and brothers Marion and Jesse Jr. Galloway preceded him in death.
Joe was the former owner of Sonny & Joe's Gas Station. He had also worked for the LaPorte City Street Department. He had served in the US Army and was a former member of the LaPorte Eagles Lodge.
