Josephine Reiser, age 85 of La Porte, IN, died at 7:10 PM Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Life Care Center of Michigan City.
She was born February 26, 1927 in East Chicago, Indiana, Daughter of Anthony and Anna (Olechowsla) Szymaszek.
On October 25, 1975 she married Herman Roger Reiser, who proceeded her in death.
She was a member of teamsters Local #135 and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW #1130. She worked as a Material Handler for Gateway Industries and was an Assembler at American Rubber.
Surviving are her sister, Helen Jankowski of Michigan City and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters, Stella Pierazek, Jean Johnson, Anna Prazynski, and Maymie Vanthoff; two brothers, Matthew and Joseph Szymaszek.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 4 - 7 PM at the Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2900 Monroe St., LaPorte, IN.
A Private Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 28 at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, with interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
