Biography Julianne Y. Nicholson passed away peacefully at her home on September 22, 2012.
She was born to Eldon Wadsworth Young and Anna Ruth (Bouchard) Young on July 22, 1931 in Chicago, IL. On December 29, 1956 at St. John Kanty Church in Rolling Prairie she married Stephen A. Nicholson, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Emily (Richard) Alexander, Jane (Randy) Dorman of LaPorte and David Nicholson (Christine Voyvodich) of Monrovia, CA and her grandson, Nicholas Alexander.
Julianne was Past President of LaPorte Service League and enjoyed being active in LaPorte Service League's Annual Play. She was also a member of Questers and a past member of Women's Literary Guild.
She attended St. Henry's School in Chicago, graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1949 and attended Indiana University.
She was employed at Bendix, Berkel and Howmet as a draftsperson.
She enjoyed shopping, cooking, collecting and her family. Her greatest accomplishment was her children. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 6PM at Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Roger Ash officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-6 PM prior to the service.
