Biography June M. Hewitt, 87, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 11:28 A.M. at LaPorte Hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 7, 2008 at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Brauer officiating. There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 4-8 P.M. and on Monday from 10-11 A.M. at Cutler Funeral Home. The ladies Auxiliary American Legion Unit 83 will also be holding a Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN. following the service.
June was born June 28, 1921 in LaPorte, IN. to the late Frank and Myrtle (Bell) Scharf.
June was married on October 12, 1946 to Robert C. Hewitt who preceded her in death.
Survivors include 1 Daughter: Judith Hewitt of LaPorte, IN; 1 Son: James (Sue) Hewitt of LaPorte, IN; 5 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Libby (John) Marshall and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; Her Husband, 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
June worked as a server for Kesling Middle School and as a Sales Associate at Kmart. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Unit 83 and St. Johns Lutheran Church in LaPorte, IN.
