Kathleen "Kate" Snyder, 61, of La Porte, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home.
Kate was born in La Porte, Indiana, on October 9, 1954 to LeRoy and Norma (Gropp) Ott.
On April 13, 1985 in La Porte, she married Bob Snyder who survives. Also surviving are her beloved daughters, Angie Lombard of Chesterton, IN, Jamie Lombard of La Porte, and Amber Snyder of La Porte; five grandchildren, Zachary, Jocelyn, Tyla, Kavan and Barron; sisters, Diane (Bob) Schoff of La Porte, and Deb Terzino (Mike) of Bloomington, IN; and Kate's chocolate lab, Maggie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kate was a CNA for many years in La Porte. She loved shopping, playing bingo, traveling, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5 PM Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Pastor Rod Neilson officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 1-5 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
