Kathy Chapell, 60 years old of La Porte, IN, died Friday, April 1, 2011 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 2, 1950 in La Porte daughter of the late Frank and Gloria (Larson) Loring.
Kathy was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved to play Pinochle and belonged to two groups with her good friends.
She worked as a Librarian for Lincoln Elementery School and was a receptionist since 1995 for La Porte Medical Group.
She married August 7, 1970 at First Baptist Church in La Porte to David Chapell who survives. Also surviving
are 2 sons; Scott and Brian Chapell, both of La Porte, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Pat Loring, and Uncle Robert Larson.
Friends will be received at the Cutler Funeral Home Tuesday, April 5 from 3-7:00 PM and Wednesday, April 6, from 10-11:00 AM.
Services will be held at Cutler Funeral Home 11:00 AM Wednesday April 6, 2011 with Rev. Doug Baker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Door Village Cemetery.
