Kathy Louise Mace

December 21, 1944 — November 23, 2003

Kathy Louise Mace, 58, LaPorte, died Sunday morning (Nov. 23, 2003) at Rush Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago.

A requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, LaPorte, with the Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial is in Pine Lake Cemetery at a later date. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte.

She was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Three Oaks, Mich., to Edwin Scott and Geraldine (Martin) Mace.

Survivors include two sisters, Sue (Jack) Black, LaPorte, and Mary Mace, Allegan, Mich.; and one brother, William (Lucy) Mace, Houston.

Two brothers, Dan and Tom Mace, preceded her in death.

Miss Mace was a former owner of Temple News and a founding partner of Indiana Deli. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she also helped as a cook and organizer. She was dedicated to outreach programs within the church that helped people in the community, including The Salvation Army. Relay for Life was close to her heart, and she was proud to walk as a survivor.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.
