Kenneth W. Kaley, 96 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Golden Living Center Fountainview.
He was born December 23, 1915 in Peru, IN, son of the late John W. and Bodie (Lang) Kaley.
Kenneth was married on August 7, 1948 in Michigan City, IN to Emma Jacob who preceded him in death on August 26, 1978. He was then married on May 17, 1980 in LaPorte to Edith Doane who preceded him in death on March 24, 2004.
Kenneth was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII. He retired from Allis Chalmers and was a member of Civilian Conservation Corp Alumni Chapter 105; and the LaPorte V.F.W. Post #1130.
Surviving are his step-daughters, Naomi Ainsley of LaPorte, Marilyn Antisdel of LaPorte, Joyce (Bob) Beckner of Michigan City; step-son, Charles (Mary) Doane of Porter, IN; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Virgil Kaley of Logansport, IN, and Philip Kaley of Park Rapids, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Emma Kaley and Edith Kaley; step daughters, Lois Hocutt, Lucille Tyskie; sisters, Alberta Engle, Eilene Hizer, Betty McQuiston; and brothers, Robert, Harold, and John Kaley, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Springville Free Methodist with Rev. Luke Bedtelyon officiating. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service at the church. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
Interment will take place at 2 PM Saturday in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Springville Free Methodist Church, 5244 N. State Rd. 39, LaPorte, IN 46350 or Asera Care Hospice, 332 W. Hwy 30, suite E, Valparaiso, IN 46385.
