Kenneth McGaffey, 78, LaPorte, died of natural causes at 11:08 p.m. Tuesday (April 27, 2004) at LaPorte Hospital.
A graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pine Lake Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, handled arrangements.
He was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Los Angeles to Kenneth M. and Ida M. (Bair) McGaffey. On Nov. 21, 1947, in LaPorte, he married Martha M. Legner, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Catherine (Roger) Cooper, LaPorte; two grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
One son, Kenneth, died Nov. 28, 1965.
Mr. McGaffey retired as a machine operator at New York Blowers. He was a member of Teamsters Union 298 and was a NRA Lifetime Member.
