Larry Lawrence Peterson, Jr. 46, of Union Mills, Indiana, died at 4:44 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Gravelyn and Carroll Page officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery.
Larry was born March 26, 1958 to Larry and Janet (Herbst) Peterson, Sr. On May 29, 1982, in LaPorte, he married Susan Kashmer, who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Michael Lawrence and Nathaniel Andrew Peterson, both of Union Mills; his parents of Hamlet, IN; sister Sue L. Downs of Hamlet; brother James R. Peterson of Nokomis, FL; and godparents Joyce and David Daube of Hamlet.
A daughter, Jessica Lynn Peterson, grandparents Alford and Juanita Herbst and Landon ?Jim? and Lorraine Peterson, and uncles Jerry and Jason ?Jack? Herbst, preceded him in death.
Larry was a millwright at the US Steel Midwest Plant in Portage, Indiana for 16 years.
He was a 1976 graduate of LaPorte High School and had attended Purdue University for two years. He was a member of United Steel Workers #6103. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and loved camping, fishing and canoeing. He was passionately dedicated to his wife and children.
