Laura Jane Eisner-Bowell , 54, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
She was born in La Porte, IN on July 20, 1961 to Stan and Joan (Williams) Eisner.
On September 5, 2014 she married Glenn "Glenny" Alan Bowell; he preceded her in death on November 18, 2015.
She is survived by her three children, Jordan Kirkland of Michigan City, IN, and Macy Blake and Hunter Blake both of La Porte; two grandchildren, Nathyn and Arianna, both at home. She was preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
Laura always had a smile on her face that brightened every room she entered. A deeply loyal and caring friend, she never knew a stranger. Laura was also a dedicated homemaker, a devoted mother, and a spiritual woman of faith. Her son, Hunter, could do no wrong. Laura always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved animals of all kinds, and was especially passionate about elephants.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home And Cremation Center on Thursday January 14, 2016 at 6PM. Pastor Paul Richardson will officiate.
A time of visitation will be held from 4-6 PM prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. A cremation committal will take place following the service with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
