L. B. Johnson

L. B. Johnson, 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Northwest Health - Porter.

L. B. was born on July 27, 1941 in White Oak, KY to Lucas and Bettie (Rison) Johnson.

On October 14, 2001 in La Porte, he married Lena Turner who preceded him in death.  Surviving L.B. are his sons, Christopher (Stephanie) Johnson of La Porte, Gary (Christina) Johnson of Indianapolis, and Gregory (Deidra) Begley of Valparaiso; 14 grandchildren, Mariah, Kyle, Sierra, Noah, Tony, Danielle "Dani", Alicia, Mollie, Justin, Faith, Kylie, Keegan, Levi, and Abigail; 10 great-grandchildren, Aidan, Asher, Alaina, Brayden, Bella, Hunter, Logan, McKenna, Khloe, and Jada; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; grandson, Christian Johnson; and 6 siblings.

L. B. was an auto mechanic for 49 years, obtaining his certification on May 17, 1972.  He enjoyed barbecuing and watching Adam 12, Rifleman, Bonanza, and John Wayne movies.  L. B. most enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Patton Cemetery.

L. B.'s care has been entrusted to Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
