Lewis "Louie" R. Reese

Lewis "Louie" R. Reese, 83, of Mill Creek, IN, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Miller's Health and Rehab.

He was born on July 22, 1941, in La Porte, IN, to Lewis and Alice (Wiltfong) Reese.

On May 5, 1963, in Walkerton, IN, he married Nancy Cripe who preceded him in death. Surviving are his brother, Greg (Donna) Reese of Stillwell; sisters-in-law, Kay (Dirk) Pletcher of Walkerton and Kari Albert of Walkerton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife; and brother, Dennis Reese.

He proudly served in the United States National Guard.

Louie worked many years as a supervisor for La Porte County. He was a strong member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church, 8762 E. 200 S., Mill Creek, IN 46365.
