Linda Kay Coleman

Linda Kay Coleman, 64, of La Porte, IN, passed peacefully in her home on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. In her final days, she was surrounded by her husband of 44 years, Randy Coleman; daughter, Nicole (Joel) Florek of La Porte; and grandchildren, Amelia, Maybelle, Jonathan, and Benjamin. Also surviving are Linda's uncle, Dennie (Lee) Fugate of La Porte; siblings, Tina Bodine of Houston, TX, Virginia (Greg) Gifford of La Porte, Ruth (Bob) Eckhart of La Porte, Ronnie (Dee) Combs of La Porte, Kathy Combs of La Porte and Roger Combs of LaPorte; along with many family members and friends who visited to share a few more smiles and laughs from a beautiful life.

Linda was born on November 15, 1960, in Michigan City, IN.

The family was blessed that Linda was able to enjoy one last Christmas season with them, as a family, before Linda entered heaven, joining her mother and father, Ola K. (Floyd) and Carlson Combs, and younger brother, Carl, who preceded her in death.

Linda's love for her daughter and grandchildren gave her strength for each day. Amelia enjoyed weekly sleepovers with her Nana and Papa for 7 years, a tradition she will surely continue on with her Papa.

She cherished tending to her garden, picking berries, planting flowers in the springtime, and watching hummingbirds at their feeder. Since moving to the family farm, Linda would take daily walks with her dog, Libby, often accompanied by her best friend, Amelia.

Linda will be greatly missed on the family farm. She had a beautiful, quiet, forgiving, and loyal spirit, which was loved by many. In her final days, she expressed her commitment to her faith in God and readiness to join her mother.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Please contact family for further details.
