Lloyd Irvin Egolf, 76, of La Porte, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Miller Health and Rehab.
Lloyd was born in La Porte, IN, on March 2, 1940 to Argyl T. and Ruth (Cathcart) Egolf.
On May 29, 1983 in La Porte, he married Mary Jane Chambers who preceded him death. Surviving are his children, Danny (Jennifer) of Apache Junction, AZ, Doug (Nancy) of Portage, Edward (Wendy) of Danville, KY, and Ruth Ann of Mitchellsburg, KY; 10 grandchildren, Brittany, Trevor, Danny, Noah, Austin, Michael, Stephanie, Wesley, Sarah, and Donald; 4 great-grandchildren; and his extended family at Millers Merry Manor La Porte.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Herbert, Arthur and twin brother, Floyd; and his wife, Mary Egolf.
Lloyd graduated in 1958 from Hanna High School. He worked as a chef at Westville Correctional Facility and Beaty Memorial Hospital. Lloyd also was an Avon representative for 30 years. He had a passion for flowers, especially orchids.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Roger Ash officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 pm until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
