Lois Hocutt, 68, of Michigan City, Indiana, died at 2:58 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18 at the Springville Free Methodist Church with Rev. David Hill officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery.
Lois was born February 1, 1938, in LaPorte, IN to the late Buel M. & Edith G. (Bull) Doane. On September 29, 1956, in LaPorte, she married Harold Calvin Hocutt who preceded her in death April 26, 2006.
Surviving are sons Randal (Janet) Hocutt of LaPorte and Michael (Gail) Hocutt of Zionsville, IN; grandchildren Zachary, Caleb & Alexandra Hocutt and Scott & Brian Mannia; stepfather Kenneth W. Kaley of LaPorte; sisters Marilyn (John) Antisdel of LaPorte and Joyce (Robert) Beckner of Michigan City; and brothers Charles (Mary) Doane of Porter, IN and Darrell (Susan) Doane of South Carolina.
Lois had retired from the Whirlpool Cafeteria after many years of service. She attended Springville Free Methodist Church and was a member of Farm Bureau.
Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
