Lou Ann (Kapp) Wiencken

Lou Ann Wiencken, 84, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Miller Health and Rehab.

Lou was born on July 12, 1935 in Springfield, MO, to Alden and Neva (Rogers) Kapp.

On October 18, 1958 in Michigan City, she married John who preceded her in death on March 11, 2009.  Surviving Lou are her children, John Wiencken, Jr. of La Porte, Susan (Charlie) Sparks of Kokomo, Dina (Fred) Pratt of Winamac, Cindy (Roger) Brinsfield of Fish Lake, and Janet Lee of La Porte; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents and husband, John H. Wiencken, Sr.

Lou was a sales clerk for many years.  She enjoyed painting and sewing.  Lou also enjoyed trips to Disney and Brown County.  Most importantly, Lou enjoyed family gatherings.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.  The family kindly asks that everyone follow CDC guidelines, if they choose to attend the visitation or service.
