Lucille Grace Grant Hollum, age 100, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2014 at Settlers House in La Porte.
Lucille was born in Lockport, IL, on October 17, 1914 to Thomas K and Grace A. (Foster) Dennison.
Lucille was married to Howard Grant who preceded her in death in 1985 and then George B. Hollum who preceded her in death in 1996. Surviving are her beloved children, daughter, Lois R. (Laverne) Korell of La Porte, IN; son & daughter-in-law, James H. (Geri) Grant of Tucson, AZ; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends who will all miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Thomas L. Dennison, Andrew J Halden, and daughter, Faye G. (Don) Nasenbenny.
Lucille lived in Sarasota, FL for 51 years before moving to La Porte in 2010. While in La Porte she lived at both Ruth Sabin Home and Settlers House. She was a wonderful, loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and a celebration of life memorial gathering will take place at a later time. We were blessed to celebrate her 100th birthday three weeks ago while she was still living and able to enjoy reminiscing and laughing with her family and friends.
