Marcia Simonton, 71, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2006 at her daughter Cynthia's home.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, at Door Village Cemetery with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. There will be no visitation.
Marcia was born March 12, 1935, in Sheboygan, Michigan to the late James C. and Marcella (Wiegand) Wilson. On August 24, 1956, she married Roy Simonton, who preceded her in death August 3, 2005.
Surviving are daughters Cynthia J. (Bernard) Polinski of Hobart, IN and Cathleen J. (Joey) Bradley of Stillwell, IN; sons Gregory "Scott" (Joan) Simonton of Deerfield Beach, FL and Jeffrey G. Simonton of Fairhope, AL; 6 grandchildren; brother James H. Wilson of McKinny, TX; and sister-in-law Dorothy K. Wilson of N. Palm Beach, FL.
A brother, Robert J. Wilson, preceded her in death.
Marcia was a homemaker and a member of the LaPorte Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a 1953 LaPorte High School graduate.
