Margaret (Masterson) Kraus Stewart Adcock, age 90, of The Villages, FL, and formerly of La Porte, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Florida.
Margaret was born on March 31, 1926 in Mckinley, ND to Washie Willis and Helen Gould (Mason) Masterson.
On May 12, 1946, Margaret married William E. Kraus, Sr. who preceded her in death on October 26, 1981. She later married Thomas Stewart who preceded her in death. Margaret married John Adcock in August of 1997 who preceded her in death in 2009.
Surviving are her beloved children, Margaret Ann (Nick) Goyda of Union Mills, IN and Maxine Kaye Gillotti of The Villages, FL; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Lorilyn Kraus; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded by her parents; her husbands; ten siblings, Leotta, Velma, Lue, Catherine, Mickey, Bud, Duke, Jimmy, and Dean; her son, William E. Kraus, Jr. in 2004; and a granddaughter, Shannon Leigh Snyder in 2015.
Margaret worked at Plastic Service for several years and then for many years with her sister, Lue Anderson, in the family health care business. During those years, she and her siblings cared for countless patients and their families. Margaret was a member of the American Legion, The Moose, attended church, and was devoted to her family. She loved to dance and spoil her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 5 pm. Pastor Ricky Bray and Terry Phillips will officiate. Burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte, IN.
A time of visitation will be held from 2-5 pm prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
