Margaret "Maggie" L. Hamann, 66, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Margaret was born on October 6, 1948 in La Porte, IN, to Robert T. and Cynthia C.(Chamberlin) Held .
Surviving are her beloved son, Jeff (Stephanie) Hamann of Lafayette; 3 grandchildren, Delaney, Aubrey and Maxwell; and sisters, Virginia (Pat) Geary of DesPlaines, IL, and Mary "Anne" (Tom) Thode of La Porte. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Margaret enjoyed antiques, crafts, gardening, cats and watching the Chicago Bears. She especially loved her grandchildren. Margaret never met a stranger. Margaret excelled at a variety of occupations including retail buyer at Levine's Department Store, antique expert, and quality control at T.P. Labs.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
