Margaret M. Keller, age 93, of La Porte, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Margaret was born in La Porte, IN, on September 4, 1920 to Edward and Mary (Schweder) Magnuson.
On April 15, 1948 in La Porte, she married Boyd C. Keller who preceded her in death on November 22, 2004. Surviving are her nieces, Judy (Jerry) Keim of La Porte, Janet (Tom) Gregory of Tampa, FL, Joanne Hibner of South Bend, Mary Margaret Ford of Madison, WI, Jean (Wallace) Snyder of Washington, DC, and Debra (Stephen) Eder Brown of Burke, VA; Lois A. Weeden; many great nieces and nephews; a great-great niece; and one great-great-great niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Margaret worked as an office manager for 20 years at the La Porte License Branch. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was an avid seamstress.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Bethany Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at Carmel Cemetery following the service.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center has been entrusted with the arrangements.
